Show me yours and I'll show you mine?
Is it okay for a 3 year old to show his best buddy his new Mickey Mouse underwear? What if the best buddy is a girl? I bet you can guess what mine and Logan's conversation was as we were heading to dayschool this morning....yep, he wanted to show Sammie his big boy underwear (because after all, Sammie loves Mickey Mouse too - Logan says). I told him to just tell her about his big boy underwear instead of actually showing her. That seemed okay with him, but he said he was going to ask her what was on her 'big boy underwears' too! So funny, so cute, so innocent - I hope he stays this way forever :)

Eventful Weekend
Our weekend was full of things to do that we've been putting off for quite some time. #1 on the agenda - POTTY TRAINING (Logan) #2 - Pressure washing and staining the deck:
Potty Training 101:
I ordered this booklet off of 3daypottytraining.com because I was past-ready for Logan to wear his big boy underwear. I had tried many other times and other ideas and had failed miserably. But this book gave me the confidence to just do it and get it over with. For those of you who know me, I am sort of an instant gratification type of person. So after a few accidents, I usually pull back out the diapers. This book teaches you consistency with positive reinforcement for your child. I recommend you try it if you're having the potty training blues.
So, Logan is doing great - no diapers since Friday morning and fewer accidents every day. I'm so proud of him! However, he still thinks he should get a surprise every time he pees in the potty :)
Deck Staining:
Chris has been putting this project on the back burner for months and months, but we finally went to work (I think he figured since I was potty training Logan, he better find something to fill his time or he was going to be roped in also). We are probably about 3 weekends away from finishing the project but so far it looks great! It makes me want to buy patio furniture! Pictures to come...

Fun-filled Weekend
We had a great weekend! Saturday I went to Cottontails with my mom in Birmingham. Got some cute gifts (even started my Christmas shopping for next year!) While the ladies were shopping - Chris had the boys and my dad came down to play with them. Sunday we woke up late (daylight savings time), and Nana & Papa came to Tuscaloosa again to spend the day with us. We made a trip to Toys R Us - an absolute favorite in our house, and Papa helped Chris fix his grill.
Here are some cute pictures Chris took Saturday while they were at the park -
Logan swinging his real left-handed golf club. He's got a great swing!

This picture has me laughing every time I look at it. When you look at the picture it looks like Papa and Evan are going down the slide really fast because of Evan's hair standing up. Reality: Evan's hair has static in it and Papa is 'scooting' down the slide because it is meant for little kids' bottoms - not adults. Chris said it took Papa a lot longer to slide then it did Logan.

A cute closeup of Evan:

Miracle in the making!
Okay, so maybe not quite a miracle, but we have been waiting on this for awhile! Evan took his first steps tonight - he's walking quite a bit actually. He won't do it voluntarily, but if you get him going - he'll GO! Here's a cute video clip....
Snow Day!
