Sandbox!

Papa built a sandbox up at the lake for the kids. Today - we went to break it in!! Nana painted each of their hands (or in Layne's case, feet) for decoration. They love it. As we were leaving tonight Evan said (in his super tired, whiny, and overly dramatic voice) "Mom, when we EEEVVVEEERRR get to go play in the sandbox again??!!"

Time for....

Tball!!
Logan was so excited to start practice this year with the White Sox team! Go White Sox!!
He has several friends from school on his team, so he's having extra fun with that.
When we go to baseball practice, the whole family goes to baseball practice (or at least they did today!)

Logan and his friend Eli.
I was so proud of him!!! He busted that ball so hard, and still closes his eyes when he swings which is so funny to me :)

Look how tall Evan is getting - you can especially tell when he walks next to Chris.

Chris practiced with Evan while we there too.

Eyes closed!!

Logan runs with his arms straight on the field (I have no idea why?!?). Maybe he's a little timid on the field.

The Friday Five

  1. One of my most favorite things about this beautiful weather - turning off the AC in our house and opening the windows!
  2. Taxes for 2010 ----DONE!
  3. Evan: "Mommy, why do girls always want kisses?"
  4. I started using e-mealz again and I love it, love it. It's actually fun making dinner when you get to try easy new recipes.
  5. They sent home registration dates for kindergarten yesterday - I was a mess! Not at all ready for that!

The Friday Five

  1. My husband is SuperDAD! and took the kids to their doctor checkups Wednesday while I went to my moms to do our laundry.
  2. Favorite quote of Wednesday made by my husband: You should have seen me trying to catch the boy's pee in a cup while holding Layne.
  3. I really do wish I would have been able to get a video of that :)
  4. Logan's 5 year stats: Weight - 51 lbs, 4 oz (95th%) Height - 45 3/4 in. (95th%) He had to get 4 shots, but Chris said he was such a big boy!
  5. Layne's 6 month stats: Weight - 20 lbs, 15 oz (>95th%) Height - 27 3/4 in. (>95th%) She had to get 4 shots too, including her flu shot!

Valentine's Day Party

Have you ever had one of those days? You know, a I want to crawl back in the bed and start over kind of day? Today was that day.
I pull up at school to drop Logan and Evan off and there is no one in the car line. Logan is asking me where everyone is. I pull up to the door and see a Muffins with Moms sign. Muffins with Moms is a morning where you get to eat breakfast with your child at school. I realize I have lost my mind just totally forgot about it (even after I had RSVP that we would be attending!) We had missed the whole breakfast.
Good thing the boys didn't seem to mind a bit.
I drive back home and I'm ready to tackle the laundry. Turns out - our dryer is not heating.....and I have 3 loads of wet laundry!!!
All in all, the day didn't get better but we have a new part for our dryer arriving on Friday.
One bright spot of the day - Logan's Valentine's Party at school:

Logan, Maddox, Eli, Lydia, Carsyn, Emily, Claire, Samantha, and Karis.

Silly Faces!
