White Sox vs. Yankees

Today was Logan's first tball game of the season. I had a dance competition today (and was feeling major mommy guilt) but Chris took great action shots so I'd feel like I was there!!

Great job White Sox!!

The Friday Five

  1. If Evan does not become a comedian when he gets older, he will have missed his calling. The kid is hilarious!

  2. Chris said something silly the other day and Logan said "Have you forgot your mind daddy?"

  3. Our stroller fell out of the back of the van when Chris opened the back broke after our Atlanta trip. I have already ordered a new one. Sad day. I got that stroller when Logan was born.

  4. One of my top 10 pet peeves - people not responding to a RSVP on an invitation.

  5. I think Layne is very close to crawling - she's getting that 'crawler bounce' when she is on all fours.

Spring Dresses!

I love springtime clothing! Flip flops, sun dresses, tank tops......and I absolutely love dressing Layne up in all things 'springy'. My mom got this dress for her and it is by far my favorite in her closet (and Chris loves it too, and for him to comment on an article of clothing, he really likes it!) I put her in it this morning and just had to take some pictures. The last few are of her playing with the grass. She's not a fan of how grass feels, so her expressions are pretty cute.

Atlanta Zoo

The weather was great while we were in Atlanta, especially the zoo day. We got there bright and early in an attempt to beat the crowd.

The petting zoo...
Evan, keeping a safe distance :)
Of course the train ride. Layne and I sat this one out, she was napping.

World of Coke and Aquarium

Today we started our Atlanta mini-vaca with a trip to World of Coke. Let me preface this by saying, we would have been better off buying the boys 2 cases of coke a piece. We would have saved money and they would have been happy as larks. They flew through the whole tour and could care nothing about anything except the 'TASTE IT' part of the tour (I rarely let them have caffeinated drinks)....but from what they've tasted of it, they love them some coke :)

I stayed upstairs with Layne while Chris took the boys downstairs to get their pictures made with the Coke Polar Bear. Next thing I know, Evan is running up the stairs back toward me screaming, crying, and shaking! The bear scared him to death. I think he was expecting something a little smaller. This bear was no kidding 9 ft tall! So - no picture with said bear.
Love these Coke Santa pictures. Reminds me of the commercials on TV when I was little at Christmas time.

This is the American Idol couch from season 4...Carrie Underwood's Season.
And their most favorite favorite favorite part!!!!!......

This was Evan when I made him stop taste testing the cokes - I thought he was going to be so sick....but he pulled through. I think the sandwich for lunch settled his belly, thank goodness.

Love this park! Centennial Park across from the Aquarium.
We didn't get any pictures from the aquarium. It was so crowded that I was so afraid we were going to lose one of the kids, so the camera got put up.

The Friday Five

  1. We are in Atlanta right now - taking a mini-vacation - visiting Nemo and all his friends!!
  2. Evan is scared to death of the carwash. I mean ANXIETY.ATTACK. every time.
  3. Layne is now in size 4 diapers!!
  4. The boys feet are finally able to fit in crocs and I they love them. I need to find them in every color.
  5. Logan calls Crocs, "Flocs". It is so funny.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Today we went to the botanical gardens. Chris took off because so many doctors are out of town this week. It was such a neat place and I can't believe I've never been there before (or at least that I can remember?). And did I mention it was free!! What a great place for my little ones to run free (and wild) on a beautiful day.
I saw this sign as we were leaving....can't help but wonder if they put it up while we were there :)

Evan showing off his boo boo he got while we were there.

We saw a bunny on one of the trails...

Happy girl!

On the rock bridge...

In the bamboo...
