Sleeping Through The Night

That's right! Layne is officially sleeping through the night.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2010

Computer Crash = No New Blog Posts
So, I'm catching up.
We had a great (and long) Thanksgiving weekend. Thursday we went to celebrate with the Watkins side of the family. We had tons of fun and the kids got to play with a cousin they don't get to see very often.

Friday we cheered on the Crimson Tide! It didn't end in our favor but still a great game.

Saturday we woke up bright and early and headed to Huntsville to spend the day with Mimi and Mawmaw. They cooked some great food and the kids got to run around in the backyard.

Logan and Evan played hide -n- seek for most of the afternoon.
Can you guess where Evan's hiding spot was time and time again....

Saturday night, we headed to downtown Huntsville to Santa's Village. This was the first time we went and I believe we are going to make it a yearly tradition. It was so fun and really got us into the Christmas spirit.

It was freezing cold so I had Layne bundled up so much she couldn't even turn her head.

There were real reindeer.
And ornaments to be made.

Wooden toys to be played with.
Sleighs to be ridden.

Photo ops to be taken advantage of.
Snowmen to meet.
And cookies that were so good, we just had to go back for seconds.

This was the icicle maze.

Writing their wish list for Santa.
Snow landed upon our heads every 20 minutes. I think this was the boys' favorite part.

I love, love, love this picture. We were waiting in line to see Santa. The boys are next in line and they were trying to sneak a peek.
We were worried about Evan because he constantly says "I no like Santa." However, he did great...I think he was a little star struck in fact.
Layne didn't want anything to do with him.

We may do a re-do Santa pic :)

One of my most favorite things about Christmas is receiving Christmas cards from friends and family we don't get to see very often. I hang our Christmas cards on the around the door frame that enters into our kitchen. It make for great a Christmas decoration! This year, our Christmas cards will be coming from Shutterfly.com. Not to let our secret out, but I have selected a very original card this year that we had a lot of fun making - and of course, our cute little children's faces will be included on it! I have used Shutterfly for many Christmas cards from years past and Evan's 1st birthday party invitations. I have always been extremely satisfied with their customer service and speedy delivery. The Friday Five

  1. I do not fold fitted sheets. I wad them up.
  2. I am very peculiar about bread with certain meats. I only eat hot dogs in a hot dog bun, hamburger patties on hamburger buns, etc. This baffles Chris - he will put a hot dog on a piece of sandwich bread and call it a hot dog.
  3. Logan can be a spokesperson for moon dough....he tells Evan all the time "Moon dough is like playdough, but never dries out."
  4. Evan says "he not like Santa Claus" but is totally in favor of Santa dropping off toys at our house.
  5. Our house has been decorated for Christmas for a week and a half now, I'm loving it!

Trip to the Zoo

I promised the boys we would go to the zoo yesterday - and it rained. So we're going today, rain or shine, and lucky for us it was just a little foggy and overcast. Cooper and Sara joined us and we had so much fun.

A rare picture of Chris. Being our family photographer, he is usually behind the camera.

Here are a few pictures that Chris has taken with his phone the past couple of days.
Evan fell asleep while he was playing his Leapster.

Such a Good Sleeper!

I had to work today, so before I left I got the kids dressed and ready for Chris. I put Layne down on Logan's bed (while still awake) and got Logan and Evan ready. I come back and this is what I find. She's out like a light on Logan's bed. She is becoming a great sleeper!

Evan's 3rd Birthday Party!

Evan's party was at the local Chelsea Rec Park. Everyone was supposed to wear their favorite color to the party and all decorations and food were color themed. He had a great time! Thanks to all who came and celebrated with the birthday boy!
