- Chris and I celebrated 9 years of wedded bliss Tuesday - even squeezed in a lunch date!!!

- Logan started flag football practice this week and loves it!!
- Evan started fall baseball practice this week and seems to be glad to be back on the field!!
- We picked out our granite counter top for our kitchen this week.

Today was Layne's 1st day of 4K!!
She is in Mrs. Bethany's class (the Faithful Fish).
She had her 4 year old checkup yesterday. Dr. McCain said I was raising a model because of her stats.....basically saying she is going to be tall.
Weight: 44 lbs (95%)
Height: 42.5 in (95%)

Evan, Tooth #4
Evan lost his 4th tooth tonight while brushing his teeth......and it went right down the sink. He had to write another note to the tooth fairy!

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
I knew the day was coming for this, it has been going around Facebook for a few weeks now. The boys got challenged while we were at the beach, so they accepted it today. They donated $20 to the ALS Foundation. Logan nominated Maddox Aycock, Ben Nichols, and Graham Steel. Evan nominated Adam Wheeler, Sam Nichols, and Owen Edwards.
Moller Beach Vacation
We are back from a GREAT, much-needed beach vacation. It was well worth taking the boys out of school for the week (even though it has been slightly tortuous trying to get Logan to complete his makeup work today). We stayed at the Grand Panama Resort in Panama City Beach.
The kids tried alligator for the 1st time and loved it!
Chris found 3 crabs in the ocean. We thought we would be able to keep them but they needed a salt water aquarium, so we had to throw them back.
Even though Layne looks like a mermaid on the beach, she was not a fan of the sand and ocean. She spent most of her time at the pool.
Evan on the other hand, loved the beach the best.
Evan can swim without swimmies now and Layne gave it a good shot. By the end of the week, she could go without them in the shallow water.
In front of Hunt's Oyster Bar - a great new restaurant "find". It was delicious!
Another restaurant "find" - David's SnoBalls. They serve PoBoys, SnoBalls (SnoCones stuffed with ice cream), and beignets - another 1st for the kids!
And so.....
Because we had to throw back the salt-water crabs, we are now proud owners of 4 dry-land hermit crabs. We told the kids if they really wanted them, they had to use the birthday money in their banks (I was not paying $100 for crabs).
My new favorite from Layne: "I don't want to use my money, I want to use yours."
Layne's 2 crabs - Elsa and Anna (she payed more than the boys because she HAD to have the purple cage).
Logan's crab, Iron Man (even though it has an Angry Bird shell).
Evan's crab, Thor.

The Friday Five
- Headed to the beach tomorrow for a whole week! It's like Christmas 'round here!!!
- While at the doctor's office Monday, Evan was a bit un-edited in his conversations with Dr. McCain: "It's okay if I'm missing school, I know everything I need to know already." "Mom, I'm outta here in FIVE....FOUR...THREE...TWO....ONE."
- Layne says Evan looks "weird" with his front tooth missing. I think its the cutest thing ever.
- Logan has had a nose bleed every day this week. If he is at school, he has to go to the nurse's office until it quits, which makes for lots of missed class time. He has an appointment with a pediatric ENT the week we get back from the beach. Apparently they don't cauterize noses anymore unless absolutely necessary (which I don't know what they mean by 'necessary'?).
- I have a meeting today at UAB to start the application process for nursing school. If accepted, I'll start spring semester!

First Victim
First victim of school germs in the Moller house - Evan. We've already been to see sweet Dr. McCain this morning. He has a fever virus coupled with lots...and lots....and lots of throw up.
We are going to the beach next week, so I am sure with these few days of absences plus next week - the Truancy Officer and I will be BFF.
