The Friday Five

1. Wednesday night I walked in the playroom just in time to hear Evan tell Logan "now pinky promise you won't tell momma." That boy is giving me gray hair.
2. Chris has jury duty next week.
3. Layne has decided she'd rather not nap on a daily basis, some days this works in my favor, most days it does not.
4. I am amazed at Logan during baseball practice. He hit every ball Chris threw at him the other night.
5. Evan loves baseball too, but I think he gets a little bored with practice. He's my 'action' child. He's ready to start those games!!

CPES Buzz Run

Checkups

Logan and Layne had their checkups today with Dr. McCain (6 yr and 18 month).

Here's their stats:

Logan

58 lbs (>95%)

48 1/2 in (>95%)

Layne

25 lbs, 15 oz (75%)

33 in (90%)

Logan informed me on his 6th birthday that since he's 6 now, all his clothes are too tight. From his stats, I can't say he's too far off!

Layne is talking more and more. She says bye, tight-tight (Titan), momma, dada (daddy), papa, bow, Bo (our neighbor's dog), uh-uh (no).....She points at everything. Definitely does not have a problem communicating! She's wearing size 5 diapers and 3T clothes.

Outside Time

My Valentines

For Valentine treats, we got the boys Spiderman pillow buddies and Layne a Hello Kitty blanket.

Logan told me that Mrs. Shoemaker's sharpie pens were running out of ink so I got her and Mrs. Brenda (Evan's teacher) some sharpies. The Valentine card said "You've left your MARK on me!"

Layne and I got to go to Evan's school for his Valentine's Day party.

Logan's 6th Birthday!

My baby turned 6 today.....

He has said for the longest time that he wanted to have a spend the night party, so he got his wish. Seven boys spent the night with us - Layne went to Nana and Papa's house. It was the kids against me, Chris, and Jay. The boys had so much fun! I'm sure there will be many more sleepovers to come.

Superhero theme. Logan's favorite is the HULK at the moment.

Karaoke. This was hilarious because most of them can't read.

Movie time. Batman Begins, Thor, and Mr. Popper's Penguins.

Birthday kisses from Titan.

It is now around midnight and they're starting to fall asleep.

The Friday Five

1. I realize I have fallen off the blogging wagon. Reason being....I have 3 kids, and I am tired!! If I sit down to blog, the computer sucks me in. I start reading other blogs, checking facebook, and my quick post turns into an hour on the computer - time which I do not have. I am going to try and be more disciplined though, because I have a lot of pictures to put on here. Bear with me.
2. Firecat has flown the coop. He vanished about 2 weeks ago. I just hope he ran off and is not hurt.
3. Layne fell Saturday night on our driveway and her whole fingernail fell off! We went to the ER so it could be cleaned and make sure the nailbed was still intact. We are in for a long healing process, but everyday she seems better.
4. Logan's birthday is tomorrow and he wanted to have a spend the night party with friends. 7 little boys will be under our roof tomorrow night and no sleep will be had :) but wow, the memories that will be made. Happy birthday to my baby boy!
5. Happy 30th birthday to my brother today! Hope it's the best year yet!!

Eli's Party

This afternoon was Eli's 6th birthday party at Pump It Up. My kids love this place, so they were so excited to go. I love all of the dramatic faces Logan makes as he falls down the slide. Happy Birthday to sweet Eli!!

ER visit

Today Layne fell in the drive way and somehow her whole fingernail fell off (right hand, ring finger). We went to the ER to get it examined and cleaned. It should grow back...in time.
