Ice Cream for Dinner (BUCKET LIST ITEM)!!!!!!

K&J's Elegant Pastries is THE place to grab a dessert in the Alabaster area.  When Chris and I saw pictures of their milkshakes, we knew we had to take the kids there.  The kids all got the Cotton Candy Milkshake - comes with a cupcake, lollipop, and real cotton candy.  I got the Original K&J - comes topped with an ice cream sandwich and a brownie.  (Chris was didn't order anything but got a taste of everything).

These were nothing short of amazing!  Even though I could have bought 12 gallons of ice cream for what we paid for them, I'm glad we did it.....such a fun place.

Rock City - BUCKET LIST ITEM

We made a detour on the way home from Atlanta and visited one of our favorite places, Rock City.

Triple Crown Sports Tournament

Back in the early spring, the boys were asked to try out for a select team run by a local baseball organization, CABA - Central Alabama Baseball Academy.  This team would practice together on and off for a couple of months and participate in a week long tournament hosted by Triple Crown Sports in Atlanta in July.  

It was a great experience for both Logan and Evan.  Lots of lessons learned, experiences had, and friends from all over made.

Braves vs Cubs

 All the teams were interviewed by local media.....here are the boys waiting for their turn at media day.

Chris was the head coach of Evan's age group, so he got interviewed also.

Friday night was the premiere of Descendants 2, so we ordered carry out pizza from Big Pie in the Sky and had a night of relaxation at the hotel.  This place was featured on Man Vs. Food so we had to try it out.  We ordered the 30 inch XL pizza!
