Kindergarten Farm Day

In a mad dash last night after my class, I made this costume for Evan to wear today.  Farm Day 2013 - the teachers are the farmers while the students dress up like some animal you would see on a farm.

These types of days stress me out if I'm honest.  I want him to be the best-dressed animal on the farm.  It turned out great though, and I was thankful for scrap burlap pieces left over in my craft room.

The Friday Five

1. Layne's best friend Brooke is now enrolled in Layne's dance class.  Monday, they did everything side by side, most of the time holding hands :)  Literally connected at the hip!!
2. Logan: "Mom, please give Titan a bath - he smells like one of those zoo birds!"
3. Logan is back on Miralax.  He's got some major digestive issues.
4. Layne sat in the dentist chair all by herself Monday during her checkup!  First time ever!
5. Evan asks me everyday to check him out of school.  I think Kindergarten has lost it's "newness".

The Friday Five

1. The boys take 2 snacks each to school every day.  They said after 1 they are still starving.
2. The boys had their first lock down drill this week.  This is where they show the kids where to hide in case of a gunman in the school.  I hate that this is even necessary, but it is in the world we live in today.
3. I had my first anatomy quiz this week and scored a 98%!!!!!!
4. Chris has to fix Layne's hair on Wednesday mornings because I leave at 5:30 to head to UAB.  I am amazed at his hairstyling talents.  What an awesome dad!
5. Speaking of Chris, he turned the big 3-9 yesterday.  I'm so thankful for him.  Every.day.

First dance class!

 

her only complaint was that my dance room is the green room and not the pink room.

 

she was in awe that I have tap shoes and I know how to use them.

 

being completely biased and partial, she is such a great dancer and may in fact be a prodigy.

 

now that she knows mommy can actually dance, she thinks we should have dance class in our home 24/7.

 

she seemed to love it.

 

makes me happy.

Tooth Fairy Visit

The tooth fairy visited Evan last night for the second time.  She left him $10 and it's burning a whole in his pocket!
